Älska formed in New Castle, Pa on Easter Sunday 2009 after Brian and Laura realized they were both looking for someone to play music with. After a few practices in Brian's attic Sad Songs and Slow Traffic was complete. Laura had been trying to put that into song form since the days of her old band Scene on TV.
