Hristov, Dobri Ivanov was born in 1875 in Varna. He graduated in “compostion” with Antonin Dvorjak at the Prague conservatory in 1903. after he has returned in Bulgaria he worked as a teacher in music in Varna and Sofia (since 1907). Parallel with all that he has performed activity as a conductor in temporal and church choirs. After several years work in the Private musical school in Sofia, he has been attracted for a professor on theoretical subjects in the State Academy of Music.
