The group MGK (МГК) was founded at 1992 by composer Vladimir Kizilov (Владимир Кызылов). Other members were guitarist Sergei Gorbatov (Сергей Горбатов) and sound producer, chief of audio recording studio "Nika", Vladimir Malgin (Владимир Мальгин). The group name is composition of first letters of their last names. The soloist Elena Dubrovskaya (Елена Дубровская) joined the group at 1995 when the album "Love Island" (Остров Любви) released.
