Yossi Elephant was born on 25th of July, 1959, in Ramat-Gan, Israel. Elephant was basicly the father figure for all Israeli alternative rock. During the 80's he was a pioneer in the indie-alternative sound coming out of Israel, contributing to the rise of about every Israeli band that counts for anything in the alternative scene.
