Makoto Kubota fronted The Sunset Gang (Yuyaka Gakudan) and called their name Makoto Kubota & the Sunset Gang (久保田麻琴と夕焼け楽団). In Japan, they recorded a series of albums during the mid 70s, from 1973’s ‘Machiboke’ to 1977’s ‘Dixie Fever’, incorporating a range of musical styles from blues to West Coast rock.
