Nobuo Furukawa (古川展生), born on the 9th of May 1973 in Kyoto. He is a Japanese cellist and member of the band KOBUDO (古武道). He is currently signed with Columbia Music Entertainment. Nobuo began practicing the cello at an age of nine. In 1996 he enrolled at the Hungarian Academy of Music to study under professor Csaba Onczay thanks to the Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life Scholarship he received.
