姜昕 (Jiang Xin / Jessica Jiang) is a Chinese singer/songwriter. The daughter of a doctor, she was a good student, and was admitted to the Beijing Institute of Economics, but in her second year she met some of China's premier rock musicians, including 张矩 (Zhang Ju) and 窦唯 (Dou Wei), and dropped out of school to pursue singing, at first in bars.
