Kaoru Yamaguchi (山口かおる、real name: Kaori Aoki) is an enka and kayokyoku singer from Tokyo, Japan. Yamaguchi studied under composer Yu Hijigawa (聖川湧), who also wrote her début as a recording artist in 1993 on Nippon Columbia under her real name, Kaori Aoki (青木香織), "Sokutatsu" (「速達」)and upon her transfer in 2004 to Crown Records, she changed her artist name to Kaoru Yamaguchi.
