The Fly (苍蝇, Cāng​ying) was founded in October 1993 in Beijing, China by Feng Jiangzhou, Song Yunghong, Wang Qingsong and Yan Lei who all at that time were avant-garde artists. The band's style was in the line of Grunge and Punk, blended with Noise, Blues, Jazz and some industrial approach to musical expression. The Fly was a pioneer in China's rock music scene.
