1N was formed by Pekka Rautio and Sampo Haapaniemi in Helsinki at fall 1998. Original idea was to make some type of electro-ambient-messing-around with a female vocalist. Johanna Iivanainen was found to be The Voice. The band was signed by Texicalli Records on 2002 and the first album called 'Retki' was released on November '03. Their second album 'Tällä tavalla' came out on year 2006. Although 1N's music still has some influences from electronica, the band's sound is nowadays more down-to-earth and organic.
