Abdallah Chahine was born in 1894 and he was still a teenager when he discovered his passion for oriental music. His father, who did not want him to become a "troubadour", accepted to offer him a little harmonium. Thus, he could develop his imagination and, very quickly, his improvisations revealed an exceptional feeling for music and a refined taste for oriental music.
