Absentation is a Syrian death metal band that talks about hate, anger, witchcraft, demons and philosophy. The band was formed in 2003 in Damascus. The demo Unpredictable Perspective was used as a soundtrack for a Syrian TV series about metalheads in Syria. Absentation was the first death metal band from Syria to release a full-length album.
