'Ajam is a London based band that was formed formally in early 2010 as an off-shoot project from the 'Simorgh' group. Despite 'ajam's recent formation the main members of the group have been playing music together since 2004.Their music draws influence from various everyday music genres but has a strong base in the native music of Iran and in many ways their music can be described as 'Iranian Roots Music'.
