(1) Alas is the brainchild of Erik Rutan (Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal), and has released one album, Absolute Purity as of this writing (in addition to a split and a demo). The vocals are provided by Martina Hornbacher-Astner. (2) The Argentinian band combined elements of progressive rock like Emerson, Lake & Palmer with fusion along the lines of Return to Forever.
