Alasin was formed in Turku, Finland, year 2003 by Ville, Vesa and Tuukka. First the group had a female singer/bass-player, but it didn't work out, mainly because the different musical interests between the male and female members. In the year 2004 Antti joined in to handle the four-string and the band found their musical course, which is a mix of simple, heavy riffs (like Trio Niskalaukaus) and progressive elements (like CMX).
