Alberto Calçada (1929-1983) was a brazilian composer and accordion player from São Paulo. At the age of 12 Alberto started to play the accordeon, and two years later he formed with his sisters the group 'Os Irmãos Calçada' (The Calçada Brothers'), that began to make appearences on radio shows. Moving to Minas Gerais in 1947, Alberto formed a trio with the brothers Sebastião Alves da Cunha and Elias Alves da Cunha, but the group disbanded some time later.
