Amel Wahby is an Algerian singer based in Egypt and Algeria. Wahby has gained fame especially in Egyp and Lebanon, becoming popular in the Middle East even before starting a career in Algeria. Her album Chocolata was released in 2004 in the Arab world and Algeria; it contains songs culled from the Algerian heritage, but the style is still predominant Eastern.
