André Ekyan (October 24, 1907, Meudon - August 9, 1972, Alicante) is a French jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, bandleader, composer and arranger . Ekyan was one of the first French jazz musicians. An excellent instrumentalist, he could simultaneously play the saxophone and clarinet. In the second half of the 1920s, he played with Parrot, Belgian saxophonist Paul Gason and the Versatile Orchestra.
