Born in Oregon, Ohio, started writing music when she was 15 years old on guitar. Wrote for many years on guitar before discovering the piano . Had one of her songs used on a local commercial; another song featured on a songwriters CD, spot 4, and another one of her songs, "I can't cry" played on the radio.
