Singer, songwriter and performer Anna Davel, obtained her Diploma in Light Music / Jazz at the Tshwane University of Technology in 1998. In 1997 she became the overall winner of the annual ATKV Crescendo competition. Her winning song (Viooltjies) addressed the issue of household violence and firmly put her on the map as a songwriter and performer.
