John McGrew (lead vocals, piano, trumpet, guitar) and Graham Fisk (drums, backing vocals) began performing together in 2006 as the two began to create a catalogue of songs that would evolve into Apollo Run’'s sound. Bassist Jeff Kerestes joined the band in 2007, completing the trio. Apollo Run references Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits, and Arthur Lee, while throwing in some blues as well.
