Aram Mlikayan Dikran born in 1934 in the Syrian city of Qamishli. After finishing grade nine, he concentrated his efforts on learning music and playing oud (cümbüş) and by the age of twenty years old, he was singing in three languages: Kurdish, Arabic and Armenian. Founded in the city of Qamishli first band Kurdish Armenians. He is considered among the best of contemporary Kurdish singers and musicians.
