Arkart is a one man(boy?)unsigned and unsung entry into the world that is psych/freak/acid folk. Draws on the weirder side of traditional folk music, but without the belabored with atmospheric noodling. His music tends to draw just as heavily from latin, gospel, blues and country as other neufolk artists draw from the celtic or bluegrass traditions of "rural" music; perhaps something more akin to the hippie country folk rock stylings of CSNY or Vetiver than the lilting lullabies of Vashti Bunyan or the Americana monolith that is Pete Seeger. ...read more
