ASSMATIX is a punk band from Dortmund / Germany. The group was founded as "Die ASSMATIX" in 2002 by four musicians, each of them playing for over 25 years in different German punk and hardcore bands (such as THE IDIOTS, RIM SHOUT and more). The band's name derives from the chronic illness asthma, as two of the members are asthma sufferers. Today, ASSMATIX has 5 members (voc., 2x guit., bass, drums).
