Banda do Sol is a Progressive Rock act formed back in 1980 at São Paulo, Brazil. Their initial lineup consisted on Moacir Jr. (vocals, guitars), Fábio Fernandes (drums) and Turco (bass). After taking part of two compilations, they recorded and released their self-titled album in 1982. In 1983, without a good financial support from a record company, the group decided to split.
