Barbier（バルビエ） began as solo project of 栗林誠一郎(Seiichiro Kuribayashi) which was started in 1995, it was a self-cover in English translated AMY of songs that had been provided to ZARD mainly. It has been introduced as an undercover unit that was formed after being inspired by the european artist Georges Barbier who worked as an illustrator, designer, etc. in the first half of the 20th century.
