Beetroot's Vehemence is a one-man (soon to be two-man) act by Rich Thompson (not to be confused with folk-singer Richard Thompson), mixing folk elements, post-rock, post-punk, electronica, progressive rock and psychedellic rock. Many instruments are used, including the piano, violin, synthesisers, guitars and drums. The final sound does not suit one genre of music. Thompson's vocals are usually very low pitch and haunting.
