Bergen Blues Band was founded by John Magnar Bernes, also known as Hungry John. Originally put together for one gig only, the band was an instant hit. From 1974 through 1985, the band played with varying line-ups and released three albums, with songs written by John Magnar Bernes. All the members of Bergen Blues Band have remained active on the Norwegian music-scene.
