Betong hysteria is often refered to as Norways first hardcore punk band. The band was formed in Oslo in 1981 by vocalist Geir Brurok, who was already known in the norwegian punk scene for his fanzine «The Moron», three former members of a punk band called Kaare og partiet and Carl O.S.
