There are least three bands named Bocanegra, American, Catalan and Mexican 1. Formed in 2006, Bocanegra has grown to become an important player in the Bilingual Alternative Music Movement. Co-produced by Martin Atkins (Pigface, Killing Joke, PIL, NIN, Ministry), the band scored their first certified Top 20 hit with "Love (the) Machine" with the video going on constant rotation on MTVLA and VH1LA.
