Boris Skalsky is a musician, recordist, and composer. He founded the band Dead Heart Bloom in 2005 and has since released 2 LPs and 3 EPs under that name (the 2 LPs were both nominated for the Shortlist Music Prize). He was also a founding member of the band Phaser. In 2009 he released a solo record, First Songs. Having studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Boris has written and performed for the concert stage.
