1) Brian James (born Brian Robertson 18 February 1955, London, England) is a punk musician, best known as the original guitarist for The Damned. His first bands were the proto-punk outfits London SS and Bastard. Some of the influences of Bastard's on stage appearance would surface later when James moved on to what would prove to be another pioneering punk band; The Damned, recording on their first two albums Damned, Damned, Damned and Music for Pleasure before leaving.
