Brick Layer Cake is the musical project of Todd Trainer. Trainer is a well known drummer for bands such as Rifle Sport, Breaking Circus and Shellac. For Brick Layer Cake, Trainer plays every instrument, and sings in a deep speech-like monotone. The music of Brick Layer Cake is characteristically very slow in tempo, to the point of being called "drone-like".
