In 2007, Calling Out West entered the heavily populated screamo scene of Denver with the counter of an alternative-indie sound. Formed in the summer by Max Comer and brothers Cody and Jake Vinton, the original lineup featured Jake on drums and vocals, Cody on bass, and Max on guitar.
