Carmina is an Icelandic vocal ensemble from Reykjavik performing Renaissance polyphony. Founded in 2004, by their director, Árni Heimir Ingólfsson, they specialise in undiscovered but beautiful Icelandic choral tradition. Carmina’ first CD, Melódía, with music from a 17th-century Icelandic manuscript, was released in 2007 and won the Icelandic Music Awards for Best Classical CD of the year.
