Chen Lei (陈磊), guitarist in the Tang Dynasty Band, was born into a musical family. At the age of seven, he got into touch with music, deciding at age twelve that music was to be his destiny. Chen started his first band at the age of sixteen, New Outline, and then moved to Bejing in 1998 to improve his musical skills.
