Chirleison is an Italian neofolk band founded in the year 2000 in Sardinia, Italy The band was born from the ashes of Essences, when singer Alessia Cicala and guitarist Daniele Serra were joined by keyboardist Mara Lasi, giving birth to Chirleison.
