Chris Donlon and Mollie Hagar met while attending the University of Santa Cruz, CA in 2000. They were friends first and formed a band in 2001, with Chris as the principal songwriter / guitarist and Mollie on drums. Their friend Kate Mclean contributed backing vocals to The Palm Tree, released in January 2007, and officially joined the band soon after.
