Korland “KJ” Sims was born in Vallejo, CA on May 19th, 1994. After playing saxophone and piano for a couple of years, and also participating in a hip hop dance group, he became very serious about hip hop music. In 2006, at the age of 12, he formed the hip hop music group Chrome Cats, which also included his sister, cousin, and two of his sister’s friends.
