Formed in Rome in October 2010, CIVICO 23 take inspiration mainly from the British and American hard rock and metal scenes. The band's recent debut album ''Siero Progressivo'' (2013) emphasises a particular relationship with the heavy face of progressive rock through a lively antithesis of ferocious guitars and stately keyboards.
