Born in Italy in 2006 from the ashes of The Shakedowns (R.I.P.), a pretty successful punk-glam-rock combo from Florence, Consumist put punk, britpop, indie and glitter in a bowl, shook it long enough and created a sound which in Italy is still not that popular, having as main influences The Libertines, The Strokes, without forgetting Bowie and New York Dolls.
