As Contreau, Julian Determan blends and prunes found sounds into melodic compositions that physically occupy spaces, or at least make them appear so. His approach is comparable to that of a landscaper, only working with what he’s been given. In Julian’s case, it happens to be sounds and audio inspirations scattered across the virtual world.
