Cootie Stark is one of the last authentic Piedmont blues guitarist/singers alive today. He learned his songs at the feet of the originators of Piedmont Blues - Baby Tate, Pink Anderson, Walter Phelps, Peg Leg Sam and Blind Sammy Doolie.
