Cotton Island's main author is David Lin, supported by childhood friend Jachin Pousson. After an active period of performing in Singapore from 2007-2009, they spent some years apart before reuniting in Rīga, Latvia in 2015. Since coming back together, they have begun performing again in various local venues, mini-festivals and live radio shows.
