Currents/Kanyons is a collaboration between Joel Mattern and Joel Mattern originating out of Greater Chicago. The group assembles live and found sounds, field recordings, acoustic guitar melodies and spoken dialogue into an edgy, lo-fi rock experiment calling to mind such influences as Can, Stereolab, Jim O'Rourke and even Brazil's Baden Powell.
