Dakota Star was formed in 2002 when A&R man, Antonio Ito, of Tearbridge Productions introduced Alan to Tasuku in Tokyo, they decided to try writing a few songs together, took a trip to the sea side and came back with several songs. Chiaki had been doing sessions with Tasuku for a while so it only seemed natural to ask Chiaki to sing on the tracks.
