Damian and the Criterions was a one man operation - Damian Vecchioli of New Jersey. His only LP was released in 1982 on the custom label "United International Records" and has become a collector's item of late. It's certainly a one of a kind oddity, with influences ranging from circus calliope music, the Dr. Demento radio show, the Residents and doo wop.
