Homemade Sin were originally set up as a backing band for ex-Georgia Satellites singer/songwriter/guitarist Dan Baird. The initial line-up consisted of ex Satellites bandmates Mauro Magellan on drums and Keith Christopher on Bass, with Ken McMahan on lead guitar. Both Mauro and Keith had played on Dan's solo albums 'Love Songs for the Hearing Impaired' and 'Buffalo Nickel'.
