Dark Harvest was founded in 2002 by ex-Exizt guitarist Gulli Falk, bass player Maddi (Forgarður Helvítis) and drummer Kristján Björn Heiðarsson (Bootlegs, Changer). In 2003 the band released an EP entitled Deeper, which was recorded in the studio of Sigur Rós. They borrowed Jenni, vocalist of a local Icelandic stoner band Brainpolice.
