Dave Warner formed the band Pus in 1973. He wrote and released a single, "Suburban Boy" in 1976 and formed a new band, Dave Warner's From The Suburbs, in 1977. The band gained a following with their two independently released singles and their performances, and was subsequently signed by Mushroom Records.
